The challenge of the mobility transition is to develop sustainable mobility options that are accepted by the population. The identification and evaluation of promising approaches is a central field of action for mobility research. Researchers from different disciplines and institutions need access to high-quality mobility data and the opportunity to test new mobility offers in field studies (ideally randomized controlled).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\"track4science\" is building an open research infrastructure for the continuous collection of mobility data using an app on mobile devices. The data collection will be tested as part of a pilot study at Heilbronn Bildungscampus. Various measures are being tested to ensure technical feasibility (reliability) and willingness to participate (representativeness). The scientific benefits will be demonstrated on the basis of an initial research application.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t

In the pilot study, data collection will be tested and an open and web-based IT infrastructure will be set up to provide the data to the research community in compliance with data protection regulations. Measures to increase reliability and representativeness are being tested. Randomized field trials to evaluate behavioural economic interventions will be implemented.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
